Balancing the playful and feminine with experimentation and innovation, Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2023 campaign titled “Miu Miu Live!” is the epitome of liminality, occupying both the past and present simultaneously, mashing opposites together to create a coexisting languor and subversion.
Shot by Zoë Ghertner, the diverse cast includes singer-songwriter, Ethel Cain, actors Emma Corrin, Mia Goth, and Zhao Jinmai, as well as models Amelia Gray Hamlin, Annabelle Weatherly, and LGBTQ+ advocate Zaya Wade. Continuing the trend of underwear as outerwear, the collection features the waistbands of stockings, panties worn without skirts and delicate petticoats all revealed. For the most part, the color palette is filled with neutrals and various shades of gray with the exception of a few pops of color, either in an accessory or a stand-out clothing piece.
