At just 13 years old, Karlie Kloss decided to participate in a modeling contest at her local mall, the St. Louis West County Center. A representative from Elite Model Management was drawn to Kloss’s height, striking features, and captivating presence on the runway and offered her a modeling contract. She walked her first New York Fashion Week her freshman year of high school, and the rest became history.
Beyond her modeling success, Kloss has ventured into various entrepreneurial pursuits. She co-founded Kode with Klossy, an organization that empowers young women to pursue careers in technology and coding.
