On Monday, July 31, Angus Cloud passed away in his family’s home in Oakland, California. As the emotionally-complex drug dealer Fezco “Fez” O’Neill of the hit-HBO Max series Euphoria, Cloud’s character drew audiences in with his charisma and chemistry with fellow cast mates. His passing is a devastating loss to his friends, family, and fans alike.
“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss,” the family said in a statement. “The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”
Zendaya, who shared many scenes with Cloud as Rue Bennet, described the “infinite beauty” of the late actor. “I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh,” she said in an Instagram post.
